Picture Perfect Day!

As a kid I loved snow days - who doesn't? But as a working mom I dreaded them! If school was cancelled, i had no choice but to stay home with the kids. The guilt was overwhelming, certainly nothing I enjoyed! When i quit my job last March I remember actually looking forward to snow days down the road! Today, I found out why! Yesterday the weather was nasty - icy and freezing cold but today - we had beautiful picture perfect snow!

Today I bundled the girls in layers and sent them out to play! They loved it! They went out three different times each time coming in to momma's now famous hot chocolate complete with whipped cream and a smidge of caramel sauce! The girls played in the playhouse and on their swingset while trying to catch the perfect flake on their tongues! Miss Kate even adopted a baby icicle but in a totally unforseen tragedy, it melted in her hot bubble bath!

I realize my stay at home mom days are numbered but days like this are ones I will remember and treasure for a lifetime! Today, my joy is overflowing - I am blessed beyond measure!
