Busy but loving it!

I think i mentioned in my last post how busy things have become. They most certainly are! Since that post we added one more chorus class I forgot and enrolled Kate in a ballet/tap combo class. We changed dance studios but i LOVE our new one! It is close to the house and just seems very friendly! She had her first tap class last week, it was the cutest thing I have ever seen. My dad went with me and agreed, these little dancers were too precious for words. They have a recital at the end of May, I can not wait!
Brooke is doing very well in school (it seems) and is loving her new soccer team and chorus. She seems so well-adjusted and an all around good kid - makes a momma proud! Her first soccer game was rained out but they spent the day at an indoor water park so she wasn't too upset. She has two games this weekend and kate has one Saturday. Poor Jay has to work on Saturday morning so he will miss Brooke's first official game as a Soccer Sister.

Today was one of the guiltiest days i have had since i became a SAHM. Kate and I went to the Oklahoma State Fair with Aunt Bootsy, Lillie and Papa. We had THE BEST DAY!!! I really felt bad that Jay and Brooke missed it! The weather could not have been more perfect. It rained a little this morning but by the time we got there we were left with a beautiful cool day! Check out miss kate in her rain boots~

OUr first stop at the fair, A Pronto Pup of course, or is it a Poncho Dog? I can never remember which is an Oklahoma thing and which is a Kansas thing.

The day was filled with typical fair fare. It was so much fun to have the "babies" try new things. I think my dad had his head set on trying everything out there! It was so much fun. everything he ate, he would say, "I think this is the best thing i have had out here!" We laughed and laughed, walked until we were sore and ate until we could eat no more! Here are some of our snack pics!

Besides eating, the girls enjoyed seeing the animals the most. There was a birthing center with babies that were actually born during the fair. We also visited the petting zoo - we all really enjoyed that. I dont think Lillie or Kate wanted to leave!

As you probably remember Kate was dead set on having a blueberry muffin pony for her b-day. I did the best I could and promised her as soon as we could, i would let her ride one. Yesterday she started talking about riding a black momma pony and also a camel. NO IDEA where those came from but she was not going to leave the fair without both - luckily I managed to pull it off! Thanks Aunt Bootsy for being a good sport for riding the camel with her!! I owe you one! By the way, the pony she rode was actually named Top Hat but she renamed him Black Sugar! Where does she come up with this? I think she is going to be very creative like her momma!

All in all it was a fabulous day so thanks Papa and thanks Bootsy and Lillie - i think we ought to make this an annual tradition!
