Snowy Saturday

Our ever astute weathermen here predicted 10+ inches of snow Friday night into Saturday. I had planned to take the girls sledding at our neighborhood park. It was going to be Kate's first time - very exciting! Instead, we woke up to what could barely be called a dusting. Brooke had spent the night with cheyenne so it was just me, jay and kate. Kate got up early as usual and wanted to watch Shrek. Somehow she convinced Gordie to watch it with her. Normally on weekend mornings she and Brooke get up, eat breakfast, and snuggle on the playroom couch - today Gordie subbed in. Guess he is a little more comfy than sissy because when i went to check on them, kate was sound asleep!

With the disappointment of no snow and no sledding, i decided to take Kate to swim class. Jay wanted to go too. We had a great time!

Guess what - when we came out of swim class - it was snowing!!!!! Here is Jay putting Kate in the Jeep!

yay! We went to pick up Brooke - jay has been anxiously awaiting the opening of the new Shoe Carnival in Norman. Do NOT ask me why? Dude has a serious shoe problem. It worked out ok - they had some great deals and i got some new walking shoes - yay! We also got a great deal on jay some tennis shoes and brooke some new Easter/Church sandals. Oh and we won 3 t-shirts! Jay won because he drove further than anyone else there to shop in Norman (yes, really) - Brooke won for helping with a drawing and I answered the question - Where is Shoe Carnival Headquartered. Only Kate walked away empty handed.

Since we were already South, we decided to visit Nan & Pop. We had a great time. It was still snowy and the hot tub was just perfect so the 4 of us took a quick dip in the jacuzzi. There is just nothing better than that! It was Kate's first time - she loved it! Both girls got to show off new bathing suits - brooke is trying to teach kate how to pose.

Look at these spolied little cuties!

We were planning on buying our pool today but just never got around to it. We ended up ordering pizza and watching Twilight. It was a great night. Today it is church & laundry. Tomorrow - the adventure officially begins!
