Warning - Big Time Brooke Brag!

First, i have been a little behind on outfits so i will get to that in a minute. I have still been taking the pics just haven't got them posted before i leave for work.
SO tonight we had our first PTA meeting of the year followed by an Open House. The PTA meeting actually got a little heated - wow! I had no idea. Someone was protesting the budget then the other parents motioned over her. Nice. We sat with the boyfriends parents - they are such a sweet couple and will make great in-laws some day. The funniest thing was when Ryan walked in, Brooke ran up to him, picked him up and twirled him around and NO, that is not my brag! They came and sat down with us and Brooke and Ryan told the 4 of us the story of how they first met, the entire time they completed each other sentences. YUCK!

Now for the brag! We went to the Open House and brooke's teacher pulled me aside. They did their Staar assessments today. While almost all kids in the class dropped significantly thanks to the summer break, Brooke shot up more than a full grade level. She started 3rd grade at a top reading level of 1.9 - she ended the year at 3.4. She is now at a top level of 5.4!!!! I actually got all teary eyed! The teacher said it was because of our summer reading plan and all of our hardwork! I am the proudest mom ever!! They did a little mini celebration in class for her today. We are celebrating with a mom and daughter date night soon!!
