Where did my baby go - another milestone...

Those who know me well, know i always get a little depressed around my birthday. Hard to say why. Now Kate's 2nd birthday is in just a couple of days and it is making me a little sad. I enjoy every second with her but she is growing up so fast right before my eyes. Jay and I got into a big fight last week because while i was visiting my grandfather in the hospital, he took down her crib and put up a toddler bed even though i told him she and i were not ready. Ever since then, she starts out in her bed after much effort and then by midnight she is in our bed. She can't sleep between me and her dad, i have to snuggle her - completely wrapping my arms around her. It gets a little sweaty but I am not complaining.....yet. Brooke slept with us until she was 5!
so this weekend we hit yet another milestone - her hair specifically her bangs were getting so long and constantly in her face. I couldn't see myself paying $25 to watch some stranger try and cut my daughter's hair. Mostly because I knew there was no way she would let them even get close to her. So i took matters into my own hands. Literally.


She moved at the last second and they got a little crooked and way too short. I called my mom sobbing. NOt just because i thought i "ruined" my baby but because she is getting so big!


I finally got it fixed and then styled and it looks pretty cute - if you don't look too close. Still happy I saved the money and the agony. I just can't believe how big she is getting. Where did my baby go?
