Week long update...

It feels like this week lasted 2 weeks! I think because i had a mid-week over night business trip, it felt like once I got back, it should have been the weekend.
We did hit a major milestone this week, Miss Brooke graduated from therapy. We celebrated with a little girl party last night. Her therapist, brooke and myself played games, drank sodas and ate popcorn and M&M's - yum! It felt like a mini-slumber party! Big thanks to Aunt Bootsy who not only watched baby Kate, she installed 2 window units since our a/c is on the fritz plus rearranged furniture in the girls room, fed Kate and gave her a bath - talk about Super Aunt!!! Kate is so head over heels for her Aunt Bootsy - i just love it. Well, i love it until she would rather stay with Aunt Bootsy than come to me, her own mother!

Speaking of Super Aunts, I became an aunt for the 6th time today - Miss Spencer Cecilia was born this morning to my step-sister Wendie and her husband Jon. The whole Lacy family went to welcome this little one. She is beautiful and has the most precious chunky monkey cheeks I have ever seen on a newborn! Someone better warn her, I like to kiss chunky monkey cheeks a lot - just ask baby Kate!!


We took Miss Spencer a little welcome to the world gift - very very pink!



After a short visit, we took the girls out for Pizza. Kate did so well! She enjoyed a rare Sprite to drink - well she enjoyed it until she stuck her straw right through her cup! Oops!!


Both girls ate really, really well. Brooke enjoyed many a plateful of strange combos - here she is enjoying a slice of pizza and some pudding!



At the end of dinner, we were pretty much the only ones in there so we let Kate down to run around the table - she was SOOOOO happy and really did very well! If she keeps this up, we might just let her out in public again! I thought we were going to have to wait until she turned eight!



On the way out, I snapped a couple more pics, what can I say, they don't call me the Mamarazzi for nothing! Anyway, I couldn't figure out which of these I liked best, so I just posted them both!




Not sure what is going on the rest of the weekend - think we are going to see Jay's parents and do some lake prep! We also have a friend coming in from Wichita - i hope it goes without saying, if any of you Wichitans are every in our fair city, give us a call! Sunday, we are going to try yet another new church! Hopefully, we can all agree on this one.
