So you want to hear a spooky story, huh?

I warn you this is seriously freaky and it happened in front of Jay, Brooke and Kate. What you are about to read is real. It is not an overactive imagination. This happened.

We have been saying for nearly as long as we have lived in our house that it is haunted. We hear someone going up and down the stairs all night and windows open and shut by themselves frequently. One night Jay and I were in bed and our bedroom light just turned itself on. We call our "friend" George. George owned this house years and years ago and yes, he did die there. There are tons of his old trophies still in the basement. He doesn't scare us, just amuses us. But what happened last weekend made the hair on our necks stand straight up and sent chills down our spines. Here is our story:

We were getting ready to head out for the day. Brooke and Kate were taking a bath together. I was blow drying my hair and jay was just kinda hanging out with us. Brooke started saying, "no daddy, that tickles." Jay looked at her and said, "i'm not even touching you." He was no where near her. brooke went on to explain that her rubber ducky was tickling her and his name was "daddy duck." She said sometimes she calls the duck mommy too. I told her that I wasn't tickling her - i was just blow drying my hair. I'm not a duck - I have hair. I asked her if ducks had hair. "No." She replied, "ducks have feathers." I continued to dry my hair and said, "well it must not be me - because i just have hair, no feathers." I ran the brush through my hair and lost my breath. I just stood silent, barely breathing. Finally, Jay asked me what was wrong. All i could do was hold up this white duck feather that had fallen from my hair.

As far as we could tell, there was no reasonable explanation for this. We certainly don't have any ducks in the house. I had just taken a shower so obviously it wasn't something I had picked up outside. We believe it was just George and that he must have really enjoyed the look on all our frightened faces!

I don't know why I can never find your e-mail address... you should add it over in your sidebar or something.

Anyway - I always need pics! And I decided I want to have pics of everyone back home framed around the house so I don't feel so far away... so I need a pic of your whole family sometime. Feathers in your hair are optional.

OH - and I just noticed you have my blog under your "some of the coolest people I know" header... that's pretty cool! Aaron's blogging again, but you don't need to add him... he's really not very cool. Well, sometimes he is, but he probably won't keep up with the blogging.

When are you guys coming to visit? huh? huh?
