A night for new traditions....

Thanks to a new co-worker/friend, Michelle, we have started a new tradition in the Lacy house. Tuna Tuesday! Michelle has an eerily similar life to mine - we work for the same company (although she is a partner and I am a low level employee :), we have been married almost the same amount and we are both proud moms to 2 girls. Her girls are 7 and 20 months. My girls are 8 and 19months. The biggest difference is I carry on this senseless blog and Michelle carries around her digital camera in her purse - I call it her portable digital picture frame! hahah just kidding! Anyway, her family has Tuna for dinner every Tuesday. I thought it was a brilliant idea so I borrowed it. afterall, tuna is very "bunny-friendly", healthy and easy! Throw a couple of carrot sticks and a fruit cup and you got yourself a meal! So tonight, we skipped the carrots and the fruit cup and went with Cheetos (they are orange and stick-like) and chocolate pudding. I figure pudding isn't as healthy as the fruit cup but we made it together and did some math so I get some "mom points" there!

I called Kate's ped today about her not eating. He is not sure what is going on but said to watch her and I could bring her in for weight checks. I don't think we need that yet. SO tonight, Kate put her big old stamp of approval on Tuna Tuesdays! She ate a half a sandwich, cheetos and a pickle! Yay Kate!!!

I mentioned we made pudding for dessert. As some of you may or may not know, I live with an OCD husband who is obsessed with cleanliness - not easy with 2 girls! He is working tonight but out of respect, I didn't something a big unorthodox. I let the girls eat their pudding in the bathtub. They loved it! I loved it! Jay will love it AND i got some great cute pics! It's a win win win win win.

Happy Tuna Tuesday everybody!

Oh, on a side note, my dad is having back surgery tomorrow. My sister is going to stay with him during surgery and I will be there as soon as I can. If you have an extra prayer, we would all greatly appreciate it. He has been in such pain for so long and is missing out on so much because of it. 2 years he was told it was inoperable but now there are some new medical advances so we can just hope and pray for a great outcome!

my husband started out with OCD (sorta) but over the years the rest of us have worn him down. How can you have a perfectly clean house with 3 kids? Doesn't happen in our house - HA!

Will send some prayers your dad's way.
