Kate and i got up early and got ready for work on Friday - thank goodness for casual Fridays! Here we are still at the house.
We stopped by and picked up donuts. Kate even got some "munchkin donuts." Kate did really really well all morning! She ate her donuts on her blankie on the floor. She did some coloring and even let mom take a meeting with a media rep. She watched Elmo in my office while i was in a meeting in the conference room - she was virtually "peepless."
To reward Kate for good behavior, I wanted to take her out to my favorite lunch spot - Ted's Cafe Escondido! But I figured this isn't my reward, it's Kate's. So I did something I never thought I would do as a parent. I took her to McD's! She ate chicken nuggets, fries and juice and then went to play! She did pretty good although she is still a little small for the play area. I can't believe the number of moms and kids there. It is as bad as Chuck E CHeese and we banned that place years ago! I had the worst headache when i left and Kate was so tired.
Kate was really tired when we got back and tired quickly became fussy! I actually had to shut my door. She did not like that one bit!
I tried taking her for a little walk outside. She enjoyed the goldfish pond and the nice weather but wouldn't go to sleep! Both my coworkers that were there were so helpful! Jennifer took her for a little stroll while I met with a client. Michelle and Kate became way too close! At one point, Kate didn't want to leave Michelle's office or her lap! She does however say,"michelle" so sweetly, it was hard to resist!
I finally got her to sit in my comfy chair and watch another Elmo movie while I updated a marketing book for a client. She LOVED LOVED my chair! She was sitting in it the same way I do! hahaha just kidding!
By 5pm we were so ready to go home! I did have to take one more picture - and no honey (jay), those aren't your sunglasses!
Kate and I stopped and picked up pizza, went home and ate then Kate crashed for the night. Jay, Brooke and I turned out all the lights, shut the blinds and watched the original Jaws on On Demand. It was really good but unfortunately, I couldn't make it through the whole movie - I passed out about 9:30! Today adam is coming over to spend the night. Jay and Brooke are at soccer and Kate is sleeping (not realy happy abnout soccer being in the middle of nap time!) SPeaking of naps, that's probably what I should be doing. I am still exhausted!

sounds like Kate did a great job until she got tired. Tired kids are always a bit cranky. She's such a cutie tho, I'm sure it's hard to stay upset at her!
You are very lucky! I don't think Jaycee would last an hour at work with me! lol
