Where have i been??

Hello - remember me?? I know it has been forever since I posted but it is not without reason. Without getting into too much detail - it was a very rough weekend. We went to OKC and got our 2 missing documents and got them off to the agency - woohoo! We ended up going to Norman to buy some authentic Sooner gear and see J's brother. Saturday we had a family fun day at home and then Sunday everything fell apart. I just haven't been able to talk about it - so I won't.

I have, however, decided that I need to start blogging again. I think it is kinda therapeutic. Since I don't have much to say or much I WANT to say, I think I will share a recipe today. Why not??? This is a recipe my mom used to make for us and our siblings - it is easy and cheap and kids and adults love it! I am sad to say that it is the MOST favorite thing I cook for Brooke. She calls it hotdogs that do thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiissss. We call them chrome dogs.

Take a hotdog bun and FILL the bottom with mozzarella cheese and a hotdog and then top with sauerkraut (easy to leave off if you don't like kraut). Wrap your dog tightly in aluminum foil. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for about 15 minutes (long enough to melt the cheese and cook the dog). Yummmmmm!! So why does Brooke call them hotdogs that do thiiiiiiiiiiiss? Let me show you!

In my little family of 3 (soon to be 4) we like to see how long you can get your cheese string before it breaks. OK, so this is probably not a recipe or pic you will see in Martha Stewart or Southern Living but you gotta have a little fun once in a while! Right?

Awww... what's the matter, Jenn? :-( Sorry your weekend ended bad... hopefully you're doing o.k. now.

I remember hearing about the "chrome dogs", but I've never had one. May have to try it out sometime.

Allright, me and Shell need to have those and soon....the sad thing is it wasn't until today that i realized why we called them "chrome dogs"....so hard being so dense...or obtuse, if you prefer....
