OK, let me just say that this is not a television blog so I hesitate to even talk about it again but I'm gonna.

I used to watch a LOT of tv but I am really trying to cut back. I love being outside with my flowers and taking my dog Goobie for a walk.

But this week poses a challenge for me. There is more American Idol which I just may give up. Really. But it is also the final of ANTM. It is also the season finale of The O.C. which yes, I realize I am 30+ yrs old and I watch O.C. so what? Is it good! Really good! Someone is going to die this week - and not some secondary character either. We are talking main character here! Exciting stuff!! AND one of my absolute favorite shows ends this week - Top Chef! Not to be confused with Top Sommelier! I'm not your bitch, bitch! I told you I watch too much tv but I am saving the best for last. Tonight is the season finale of Grey's Anatomy. I only started in a couple of months ago but OMG it is the BEST show on TV. Last night it was on at the regular time, by the end, i was literally gasping for breath! Tonight it is a 2 hour finale - I can not wait. I will be home alone tonight so it will be just me and Dr. McDreamy (insert swoon here!)
SO while I am embarrassing myself, let me tell you about my weekend. Friday was the beginning of Wichita's River Festival. We have never gotten too involved in the whole thing - it is kinda of Arts Festival meets the State Fair but with water. Friday night was the Sundowner parade and it was lots of fun - too bad Jay left the camera in the car!! After the parade we went to the Nick Lachey concert - Brooke and I think he is cute but turns out he can sing too! Who knew!! Of course, it was mother's day - my Brooke and her daddy took me out to lunch on Saturday to one of the newer restaurants on the Waterfront. It was pretty disappointing but we had a good time. The best part?? They have mouthwash in the bathroom. Pretty cool. I have really tried to take inspiration from my Sister-in-law and keep my camera with me at all times and I actually remembered. So.......here is a Brooke trying out the bathroom mouthwash.
We spent the rest of the day scrapbooking in Brooke's Strawberry Shortcake scrapbook - it was great - she is very talented. I mostly just watched and helped spell a word or two! Here are some of my favorite layouts.
Obviously, this is a confident child. Yes, she wrote, "cutie" above her own little bikini photo! This next one is my favorite though. It says, "cousins Duh!" She said she had to write that because they are sitting close on the couch and she doesn't want people to think they "like" each other like boyfriend-girlfriend. They are "cousins duh!"
I love our scrapbook time together. What do you think Shell? Is she ready for your team??
Gotta run - can't keep the good doctor waiting!!

Too much TV is a bad thing, but a little good TV is a good thing....Personally, I don't know what I would do without the Sopranos, and I do watch American Idol...thank god for our new DVR! Oh, and I am into the Deadliest Catch show now too, now that is some good TV! I've got the DVR set to record all the old episodes of Deadliest Catch so I can get caught up....and Sunday, I highly recommend Baghdad ER on HBO.....it is going to really make some waves.
