Jay is promising to update you on Riverfest on his blog - be sure and check it out. I think his take is a little different than mine. First and foremost, little Miss Brooke definitely takes after me! She is so competitive. She won a hula hoop contest at the booth of a local radio station. The girl she was going up against had to be almost twice her age (probably between 10-12). Look at her go!

She hula'ed for hours! Guess what she won?? A cup. Not a trophy cup - oh no. A neon green plastic cup. She went from there to a "hoops" competition and won it too! There atleast she won a t-shirt. Which by the time she is 20, just might fit!
Here are some other pics from our day. Here s brooke at the bath tub race:
Here is our favorite entry: ZZ Tub
Here is Brooke's favorite part - her annual walk in the fountain.
She was supposed to go in only up to her shorts - of course she fell "on accident" and got soaked. From then on, it just became a free-for-all:
The night ended up with a cookout at our friends house and a walk down to the river to watch the closing fireworks. Somehow I missed getting a picture of Brooke and the "definitely on-again" boyfriend. But here is a pic of her playing in their backyard.
So that is my Riverfest update. I wasn't feeling well at all today and ended up sleeping - probably too much. I have a really busy week plus I need to spend my evenings at home this week AND Memorial Day weekend getting ready for our giant fundraising garage sale! We aren't planning on having it until sometime after our class June 1st but it is going to be BIG! I need to find $5,000 worth of crap I don't want and everyone else can't live without! :) Wish us luck!!

Fun pics... yay for the little hoola-hooping queen! Good luck with your garage sale - we're getting ready to have ours, too. Hope we both do well!

if you would like, we would be happy to take anything you don't sell off of your hands! we are planning a follow-up garage sale in OKC.

Good luck with the sale...we too are having a little fundraiser in the form of an asset liquidation open to the public.
