Finally! A little bit of an update on the adoption. That money that "fell into our lap" didn't fall easily. it turned out it was a national deal and not a little local deal at my credit union - they were only accepting 300 apps and every other location got a head start. After 2 days of waiting and running around - i finally got my check yesterday. WooHoo! I wrote a little letter of thanks and mailed the agency another check. I love progress!! Oh and we made hotel reservations for the seminar. they have some special rates with some local hotels. We are staying at the Candlewood Suites. I love staying in hotels - probably because when we were little we would go stay in a local hotel that had an indoor swimming pool and call it a vacation. I loved it and still do! Unfortunately, Candlewood doesn't have a pool - they are mini suites with kitchens - not exactly my first choice but it is close and offered the best rate. Who cares - atleast we are moving forward!!

Easter dinner update! i am taking tomorrow off - getting my hair cut & colored and will start preparing for the big Easter feast on Saturday. I am looking forward to it. Our church has a big Easter party on Saturday (petting zoo, pony rides, moonwalks followed by a big Easter hunt!) Did I mention that already?? anyway, it is going to be great - brooke will have so much fun. She has a special outfit all picked out! Pics to follow!
Oh and i am making the "special-grandma-easter-cake-that-no-one-ever-eats" for the dinner. Atleast I am going to try - I called my grandma and asked her for the recipe for the cake that no one ever eats. Why would they? it is covered in coconut and jelly beans - yuck! i will take pics of that too if it turns out.
