Easter is over! I was really worried about having such a full house but it actually went really well. I think everyone had a great time which makes me a happy hostess! People even ate the cake that nobody ever eats! Although after all was said and done, I turned to my adorable 6 yr old and said, "that cake wasn't very good was it?" She replied without hesitation, "no, it wasn't!" I don't know why but it turned out really dry. :( Even my sister-in-law agreed. Here is a picture:
Atleast it looked pretty. Actually, the dinner turned out really well. I was pretty proud of me & J! Saturday we went to church for their annual Easter party - it was great! Brooke had such a great time - she made crafts, rode a pony, hunted eggs and took a home a bag full of goodies! Here are some more pics:

I have to share a funny story. I had told Brooke that I called the Easter bunny to see if he could come a little early. I thought it might be a better idea that way there were no arguments about eating chocolate in her fancy Easter dress before church. Brooke thought it was a good idea. She asked if the Easter Bunny would bring my stuff early too. I explained that I didn't think he brings things to parents just good girls and boys. Friday night when I tucked her in - I kissed her good night and went to turn off the lights when she said, "mom, good luck." I asked her what she meant. "good luck with the Easter Bunny," she said. I just cracked up. Needless to say, there was a little chocolate bunny for both me and J in the morning! Thanks Easter Bunny!!
Here is a pic of me and Brooke Easter morning after church.
Here is one of my favorites of Brooke.
I have more to update but will save it in a separate post. Hope everyone had a great Easter and you got lots of goodies. If not well, "Good Luck" next year!
