Dress Up Day!

As a mom of girls, few things make me happier than dress-up day! I have always been a girlie girl - make-up, purses, dresses, pretty, sparkley things, can't get enough! Raising two girls I figured with God's sense of humor, I was bound to have one of them be a tomboy. I wondered how I would be able to relate. I never climbed a tree, played in the mud and I still scream at the sight of an earthworm! Thankfully, no need to worry. At least for the time being, both of my girls are as girlie as can be!
For Christmas Kate got a fairy dress-up Kate from Nan and Pop. She loved it. Christmas Day she changed outfits every five minutes. The first time Lillie came to play after the New Year - Kate was anxious to dress up Lillie! Not sure why they needed the umbrellas!

Kate's other favorite game involves her sister and her sister's make-up! She calls it doing "make-up overs!" I love it. Brooke is soooooo good and patient with her. Last week school was cancelled due to sub-zero temps. We entertained one of Brooke's besties for the day. Kate talked both Brooke and friend into playing fairy dress-up and make-up overs!!

Guess you are never too old to be a princess, atleast that's always been my motto! Speaking of being too old, I have started a new blog. I have decided that this year, my 40th, I am setting 40 goals for myself to achieve before the big day, October 27, 2010. Hope you will check it out and play along! http://jennturns40.blogspot.com

Lillie loves dress up, but doesn't look to happy in this pic.
