Tis the Season...

for Christmas parties - gotta love 'em! I think my favorite of the year, so far, was brooke's school party. As a room mom and active parent, i brought treats, help set up and chaperone. We all had a great time. Before the party began, the gym played host to the annual sing-a-long. I loved the spirit in that room! The teachers did a great, hilarious version of the 12 days of Christmas. It went something like this, On the blank day of Christmas, a student said to me "my dog ate my homework", "she cut in line" someone took my gloves!" and on and on - very funny!

I love that the singalong included some Faith based songs including Joy to the World and O Holy Night! The whole day made me realize, i really do want Kate at this school so Jay and i are going to do our best to get her enrolled for pre-k starting this next fall!

After the singalong, we went back to the classroom for the party - lots and lots of goodies!

Even Kate had a plate - she acted like such a big girl!

Brooke has grown so much in the last 3 years, she is really flourshing, she has learned so much and i could not be more proud of her! After the party, she and her girlfriends met up in the library to exchange christmas presents.

I really dropped the ball on that one so i guess i know what i am going to be doing the next couple of days! Oh and making fudge - lots of fudge! I am determined to have trays filled with a buffet a fudge as we traipse over the hills and through the woods to all the grandparents houses!

Tomorrow is another big day in our family, my niece Lillie Marie makes her acting debut in the church kids program - i am bursting with pride! I am so thankful to be back home where i don't miss all these great milestones! We won't be able to stay long, our church is hosting a birthday party for Baby Jesus, afterall "tis the reason!"
