Happy Mother's Day!

What a great day. Jay let me sleep in until 7:30! I think it would have been longer but Kate came in wanting to get in bed wth me and Jay (in the living room) kept yelling "leave your mom alone." Which I am pretty sure is husband code for, "honey, i love you and can't do this without you, get your pretty butt out of bed, please, please, please." Or something like that. We got showered and dressed for church. Today's sermom was awesome, really just confirmed our decision that this is truly our church home. To top it off, both girls made me homemade mother's day gifts in Sunday school - they are the best aren't they? After church we took my mom out to lunch. She had said she didn't want to anyone to "have" to see her. I convinced her otherwise. We had a good lunch and a nice visit.

In addition to the great homemade gifts, I got two perfect gifts from my family - Pretty in Plaid by Jen Lancaster and a Starbucks gift card - how perfect is that?

The rest of the afternoon has been spent scrapbooking - I have made a lot of progress on Brooke's book. Kate is still behind but she's younger so I can't be THAT far behind! Tonight, Jay is going to let me take a bath while he cooks dinner, cares for the kids and cleans the kitchen. Now, who wants to call him and tell him that???
