Now that Thanksgiving is over, we have officially kicked off the Christmas season! Brooke and i got an early start with Black Friday shopping - it was her first time accompanying me. She was SOOOOOO excited! My alarm went off at 3am, well she must have heard it because at 3:02am, she was dressed and in my room. As for me, I hit the snooze button! We took a picture of the two of us before we walked out the door. I did NOT look good, so I am going to share the one of Brooke instead. Cute, huh?
Another sure sign Christmas is coming? Red cups at Starbucks - i love them! To say that the Peppermint Mocha Twist is one of the greatest inventions of our times is only a SLIGHT overstatement. Miss Kate agrees! Don't freak out - atleast it wasn't a Venti.
To end the day we planned to head to the river for the annual holiday parade. It didn't work out as planned. Since we were already down there we decided to walk thru Bass Pro. Turns out they had a HUGE Santa Village with a very authentic looking Santa, Brooke busted him as a fake though because he spoke in third person, "what do you want 'Santa' to bring you?" According to her the real Santa would have said, what do you want ME to bring you?" Good work Detective Lacy!
We had been talking to Kate about sitting on Santa's lap - last year was a complete bust! She has wavered back and forth. Here is the look I got when i asked her is she was ready to sit on Santa's lap (we were up next in line!)
She started to freak out and asked for her daddy. I guess because mommy was giving her santa peer pressure. Daddy was a trooper and went up with both girls. I have to say, i love this picture. Kate has the cutest pouty lip, Jay looks like he frustrated, Santa is trying to reassure Kate and bless Brooke's heart she is looking right at the camera and giving the best fake smile a girl can give! They are a crazy bunch but they are mine and i love them all!
Last night we attended another OU watch party - the game was great and now the sooners are on to the big 12 championship! We have a busy week with Brooke's play practice Wed and Kate's actual play on Friday. We also started making the transition from fall to Christmas decor today - didn't get either tree up yet i am still happy with our progress. I also got most of my Christmas shopping done this weekend - just 2 or 3 more to go - woohoo! Afterall, there is only ONE more shopping day until tomorrow!

Nice, I clicked on Blair's name thinking it was Blair from the facts of life. I know you guys were friends now. Nope just some freak with coupons. Yay Christmas!
