Sometimes "having it all"

isn't what it is cracked up. Now by no means do i think i have it all but I am very blessed and unfortunately i continually strive to "have it all." Not to get all political here but i look at Sarah Palin, the potential "ultimate working mom" and think, maybe I don't have it so bad. I don't know how she is going to do it but I am beginning to be intrigued enough to vote for her ticket and find out.

So this week in my quest to have it all and make sure my children have it all, we had church and Sunday School today followed by a homemade lunch of "mini tacos" complete with kid friendly dipping sauces. Later this evening we have Girl Scouts where Brooke will be planting flowers at a church. After GS, we are meeting Jay's parents for dinner, it has been a couple of weeks (actually just one) since we have seen them but we are feeling a little guilty. Sometime today, Jay and I have to finish calling our new soccer team. Jay is coaching, I am helping again. I have already this weekend, named the team and came up with a color scheme - WTH took the new OKC Thunder so long? Our new soccer team name is The Stingers - we will be bright yellow and black (like a bumble bee) as soon as we go and place a rush order on 12 jerseys so they will be here in time for the first game, next Saturday! I will also have to work up a new team cheer. We are introducing a mascot for the first time, the cutest 2 yr old bumblebee you ever did see (as soon as i find kate a costume!) OK, so that is Monday. Did i mention work - yeah without going into too much next week starts Parade of Homes, plus i have a video shoot and ground breaking part of which will be nationally televised. Oh and one more website to finish! For dinner Monday, i promised to make Brooke's favorite - super starchy beef pasta with my garlic mashed potatoes.

Tuesday my dad is having major back surgery. Definitely scares me a little. I have to be at the hospital at 6am. Although my sister, God Bless, her is picking up my dad and taking him so I may not be there until 7:30 or so. I will be at the hospital all day as Sarah and I try and figure out his insurance and post-op care. Recovery time is 6months - year and currently, he lives alone.

Wednesday is my ground-breaking and press conference for work as well as our first soccer practice Wed night. I also have to be with my dad Wednesday night because Sarah will definitely need/deserve a break by then.

Thursday, jay works late so i will be picking up both girls, making dinner, visting my dad and who knows what else fun the day will bring!

Friday - definitely daquiri Friday. Anyone game?????

Saturday - We have a pet blessing at 10am. Yes, gordie is getting baptized. Followed by Disney on Ice, HSM at 11:30. Just to prove i am not all baptisms and disney, that late afternoon, i am shooting a "boudoir" photo shoot for a client/friend.

Wonder what Sarah Palin is up to. Where is her blog? Oh and bet none of my kids are pregnant! Maybe I do have it all!

Having just described what you do as a super mom, Jenn - you have to know that Palin is not pulling that off. Something is falling through the cracks so don't prepare her pedestal just yet. You are the most rockin' mom I know!
