Like Mother...Like Daughter

Let me just say before I share this story, I remember doing the exact same thing probably pretty close to Kate's age. It is my first memory. I got into soooooo much trouble. Kate did not. I mean how could I blame her it's like a million degrees outside with 200% humidity - if i didn't think people would laugh AND if I wasn't wearing "dry clean only," I just might have joined her!

So here is the story. Saturday I went to some garage sales with my mom. I was looking for some books for Brooke's reading challenge but also found this blow up pool for $3.00. It is pretty small but just perfect for both girls without taking up too much space outside. We put it up on sunday and the girls swam (with me) and we had a great time. Monday night when we got home, i took both girls out again. Last night we got home a little later and jay wasn't home so we skipped our evening swim.
So tonight, I picked up the girls - Jay and i were both working late but I was closer! I had no more gotten Kate out of the car when she ran over to the pool and jumped in! Clothes and all! Luckily, the mamarazzi had her camera handy! Check out this face - you can just see she is trying to figure out if she is in trouble and hoping her cute grin will get her out of it!

All I could do is laugh......Kate too!

You can seriously remember that long ago? I am impressed! She is always such a doll...in trouble or not.

that first picture captures the perfect expression of "I'm happy, but I might be in trouble"....so innocent....

nothing wrong with hoppin' in the pool on such a miserable day!
