We're going to the zoo zoo zoo...

We have pretty much had that song stuck in our head for the last 2 days - we're going to the zoo zoo zoo, you can come too, too too! Anyway...yesterday Jay went and bought us a family zoo membership! YAY! It was really a good deal - i feel like it has already paid for itself! We bought it aat a furniture store here and with purchase - we got a free hall tree! Something I have been wanting anyway for my office! WooHoo - i love a bargain!

So today everyone got up early and by 9am we were out the door and off to the zoo! This was Kate's first time since she was a baby baby. She was pretty darn excited. Her 2 favorite animals are elephants which for some reason she calls "KiKis" and MOnkeys which she calls "monkeys." We saw the kikis first. She was sooooo excited We took lots of pics - there was a lso a big huge elephant cake that we got to share and a card to sign. It seems as though 2 of the elephants are going to do a zoo exchange with the Tulsa zoo.

We got to see the new lion cubs which were seriously adorable and looked so playful!

We finally got to the monkeys! Kate freaked. Like, seriously freaked. She was holding on to her daddy for dear life! Crying "no monkeys no momkeys no monkeys." I blame the wizard of oz. I hate that movie. Sorry Kansas friends but I do.

We stayed until about 1:30 and made the short drive home. We all took a good long nap. Tonight Jay is doing some media event with his dad. Weird. I do media things (or used to) not him! Anyway, I am home with the girls. We already watched Bee movie and had a Grandy's picnic on the living room floor. Kate is already in bed and I am getting ready to make a special oreo treat for me and brooke - yummy!!!

Tomorrow I am hoping to go see the Sex and the City movie with a friend of mine here. I am really missing my "girls" in Wichita!! This probably won't help!
