This blog title might sound familiar to one of my blog readers, if not......Julie I am talking to you! HA! The reason I bring it up is because Saturday night was the Addy awards. Jay and I got all dressed up and left the kiddos with grandparents. No kids combined with not being out in a LONG time combined with an open bar leads this busy momma to only one thing - a big ole drunk fest! Woops! I drank almost 2 bottles of red wine by myself. How is that for making a great impression on my new boss? Funny thing is - they were all just like me. Anyway, we had a great time - it was really good for us. I don't feel so hot today but still worth it. Ohhhhhhh yeah, the rose thing. So last night after the Addy's we stopped by and got cheap take out Mexican from Taco Mayo probably because the agency that won handles Taco Mayo and we spent the whole night staring at their commercials. This part is a little fuzzy eiher Jay or I (probably me since Jay was the dd) took 2 hot pink roses off one of the tables. As we waited in line at Taco Mayo I kept saying, "dare me to eat this rose." I guess he did because I ate it. Why did I do this? Not sure but probably 15 years ago my friend Julie did the same thing after a wedding I think. She also ate the rose. So if you want to know why, maybe you should ask her!
We spent today making it up to the kids. I always feel bad when we go out. So we took the girls shopping and then out to Incredible Pizza. They had a great time - they are now both asleep and I am not far behind!

HAHAHAHAHAHA. I can't stop laughing. Glad no ones knows how to reach me to ask me why I ate the rose. I was thinking that night was after the the work dinner where the governor (i think) made that ridiculous statement and we were the only ones who caught it and were trying so hard not to laugh or snort. Seemed like there was a lot of wine flowing that night. Or course, there were many nights and ping pong tournaments that involved heavy drinking. LOL!
Julie
