SO I was hoping this weekend was going to bring us a lot of closure. We were in Wichita yesterday to close the sale of our house. Well, I worked all day with appts for my new job, jay spent 8 hours in with the title company. We left with the deal still not closed. It is terribly complicated and not really worth getting into here. We should know something this week and just moved the closing until Thursday if all works out.
The good thing about all this is we aren't moving this weekend. I really wanted to get our stuff moved so we could feel a tad more settled but instead we are staying in town this weekend and getting some stuff done. For instance, Jay got to sit down last night and watch OU kick Tulsa's boo-tay! We haven't got to watch a game all season. I got to do about 6 loads of laundry, clean the girls room and our room, etc. It felt really good. Brooke had a death in her bio mom's family so she is with them until Monday night. Kate is over playing with Nan and jay is at work and I am sitting here talking to you fine people.
More good news, there is a possibility I won't be going to Dallas anymore. I might be getting a NEW position at OPA. Basically, it is a new territory - all of Tulsa and Wichita. Still travel but not overnight. SOunds perfect to me. We will see! I thought I would share the view from my new job. It's kinda fuzzy but if you look out my window - you look right at the Capital of the Great State of Oklahoma. Much better that the drab & dirty grey walls which made up my view at my previous employment.
Also - check out our new house. We should be living there in about a month. CAN NOT WAIT! It is obviously a beautiful older home that has been turned into 2 residences. We will occupy the top floor. Brooke is so excited about stairs! Mommy is not.
I hate to share this picture of the flowers because I just waited too long to take it but these were gorgeous blooms - Stargazer lillies (our wedding flower) and Gerber daises (my other fav + my tattoo) and other pretty pretty flowers were sent to me by my loving husband because things have been a little rough to say the least but we are hanging in there.
With our new found freedom this weekend, Jay and I decided to take Miss Kate to her first State Fair of Oklahoma! We can't wait! Pics and details coming soon!
