Yesterday was Brooke's birthday. My big girl turned 8 years old! Jay and I started her morning off by waking her up and singing happy birthday and delivering her a yummy homemade chocolate chip pancake with whipped cream happy face - just like IHOP (her favorite!) Nanna came over and gave her a present too first thing in the morning (she also kept Kate since her school was closed.
Then, I had a giant cookie made for Brooke to share with her class. It was a BIG hit! After school we ran a couple of errands and then met Nan, Pop, Megan, David and Adam for dinner. At dinner this young girl came over and sang to Brooke and gave her a dollar bill! She has been raking in the cash this birthday. Between the gift cards and the cold hard cash - Brooke is bank!
p.s. Brooke got a 101 on her first spelling test at Coronado. It is her highest spelling score ever. What can I say, when it comes to spelling, she takes after her daddy but Papa has been working and working with her and she DID it! 101 - so so proud. I took her for a mini-manicure to celebrate - way to go Brooke!
