Looks like I am headed for the Big D again pardners. Dallas, not divorce for those who were wondering or just remember that country song.
I am leaving early in the morning and then will be back late on Wednesday. Thursday we have a big AMA meeting where we have to do some big presentation - no idea what I am doing. Friday I am going to be in Wichita on business.
The only good thing about this trip is I am staying in a fabulous hotel - the perks of booking the trip yourself. In all fairness, i had trouble finding availability and this location offered free downtown shuttle which is where all of my appointments are. Score!
Actually there are 2 good things. First, I am staying in what I hope to be the Fabulous Magnolia Hotel and second, it is located right next door to the original Neiman Marcus. It is also located right next too or actually in (not sure) the West End. This job would be awesome for a young single career girl but this mommy of 2 gets tired easy and misses her babies. Oh wait - one more good trip thing - the hotel brings homemade cookies and milk at bedtime. That's what I'm talking about.
Oh and one quick Brooke story. She attended a birthday party this weekend and her "boyfriend" was there. Can't remember if I have mentioned how they met or not so forgive me if I repeat myself. It was like the second day of school and some girl told Brooke that this boy, Ryan, like-liked her. My strong, self confident 8 yr old marched right up to him and said, "do you like me, huh? huh? do you? huh?" He cracked under the pressure (and i am guessing the hot overhead lights) and said, "YES! YES! I like you! I might even love you! I might even want to MARRY YOU!" Yikes. Yeah, my girl got game. Anyway, Ryan was at this party and they skated together - holding hands! No word on whether it Ryan was bullied into this or volunteered! Stay tuned for more!
OK one more thing - we officially put in Kate's notice at her daycare. I just can't get past it. I will have to tell more later. For now, I feel pretty good about the decision.
