Jay and I took Brooke to camp for the first time today. I had to write my first permission slip - am i the only one who celebrates these kind of things! It felt kinda weird - almost like a grown-up parent. I felt like I was gettingaway with something - I just wrote "Brooke has my permission to participate in all camp activities." Hehheheheh and they took it - I felt like i needed my mom or dad to sign it to ake it "official" afterall, somedays I still feel like a kid myself. OK, a 30something kid with a husband, 2 kids and a mortgage.
Anyway, Brooke had a great time. She got to go swimming and hiking. One of the girls told her that last year there were centipedes in the pool - totally freaked Brooke out. But she told her if they were on the bottom they were dead and if they were on the top they were alive. She wouldn't jump into the deep end because she couldn't see the bottom. She also informed me that when she openened her eyes nder water, they burned, "probably because it was centipede water," she informed me.
Thought I would share a couple of pics - here is Kate before church yesterday (yes that is her new smile" and Brooke before camp this morning. It is 5 minutes until 9pm - both kids have been fed and bathed and the baby is asleep. I just have to make myself stay up 5 more minutes until Brooke's bed time. Good. I am exhausted.

that backpack is bigger than she is. What the heck did she pack. I wonder were she gets that from. hmmm... Love the new kate smile!
