Spring Break

I know it has been a while since I have posted. To be honest, I was thinking about stopping the whole blog but I have had a couple of people mention that they miss it and to tell you the truth so do I. Sometimes I feel like people must be sick of all my Kate talk but this is a place I can talk about her and if someone wants to read it great, if not that is ok too. It makes me happy.

So this was spring break. Brooke spent the last 8 days with it - it has really been fun. We had Carter over to play and go to the park. Brooke got to go to a real fire station and sit in a truck and even spray water. The girls and i went to the zoo and had a great time. Kate actually seemed to enjoy it although i think she liked looking at the people more that the animals. We did get to pet a very sweet baby lamb - I even like that.
Jay took over the last half of the week and took Brooke clothes shopping. How cool is that? He actually did really, really well (i only took back one outfit!). He took her a bunch of places and was very patient - I am telling you I was super impressed! Then he took the girls to see Bridge to Teribithia. Brooke and Jay said it was good but made them cry. Kate slept. I am a little sad I missed out on taking her to the movies for the first time but really, since she slept the whole time, I don't think it counts. Don't tell Jay.
We also had professional shots taken of the girls together. We were going to do them seperate but Kate has this new thing with people she doesn't know. I am not kidding, when someon she doesn't know tries to talk to her she puts her hands over her ears. It is seriously, seriously cute. Unfortnately, some people that know and love her have gotten the hands over the ears. Sorry Aunt Debbie. Anyway, we got one pretty good shot of the girls and lots of Brooke by herself. As you can see in this pic, Kate's hands are on the way up over her ears, but turned out cute anyway.
