First Time Out

To be honest, I spent many days last week crying about the fact that I have to go back to work and leave Kate in daycare. Didn't help that a "good" friend of mine vocally expressed their disapproval of it but whatever.
I think I realized it was going to be a problem when J & I were in Target the other day. I had to go to the bathroom so he agreed to watch Kate why I went up front. I had a small anxiety attack in the bathroom when I realized that it was the first time since we left the hospital that she wsn't in the same room I was. Wow! That totally freaked me out.
So my, newly engaged sister, Sarah (CONGRATULATIONS!!!!) convinced me I needed to start getting out of the house without Kate in small doses. Run to the grocery store, etc. Jay totally agreed. Being the great husband he is, he called and scheduled a hair appt for me at a new salon since there was no way I was going back to the last hair witch.
So I did. I got my hair done, took back some blankets and went to the grocery store - ok, that was spread over 3 days but I did it and you know what, we all survived!

And look, Kate managed to take care of Jay just fine! She even managed to get him to sleep!

I think everything is going to be ok.
