A blanket for Kate

When Jay and I were just starting the adoption process we were at a Fabric store getting a patch kit for a patio chair and I found this fabric that I just fell in love with! It was on sale which meant I had to buy it. At that point in time we had no idea how long our adoption wait would be or if we would have a girl or a boy - it was all very new. I just knew that I NEEDED this fabric to make a blanket. So today, that is just what we did. Here's a pic:

It was our first attempt at making a blanket but i think it turned out pretty well, except for the fact that when I washed it it totally came apart and made 2 seperate blankets! OOPS! Oh well, we got it fixed and I love it!

I think J and I are going to go to the movies tonight - surely that will "jinx" our phone into ringing - right?? It worked for my sister - I think she went into labor watching Kevin Costner in Waterworld?? Am I right?? Wish us luck!
