So today, I am feeling much better - I have been so tired and cranky - just seriously overworked! I actually took a lunch today. I came home made a turkey bagel (yum!) and picked some flowers from my gardens! I have never ever been an outdoorsy person but ever since we bought our house, I totally am! There is nothing better than working all day outside and then being able to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor - sometimes even literally! We have this amazing peach tree. 2 years ago, i actually made peach preserves from it - it was so good! Last year we had a record ice storm and ended up with zero peaches. This year, thankfully, looks like it will be a bumper crop! Hey look at me - I am a farmer! Besides me peaches, my flower beds are the next best thing. I have lots of varieties - in the front it is mostly annuals with 2 rose bushes (and newly planted glads) but in the back I have Peonies, Naked Ladies, roses (2 great bushes), Iris, and Jonquils. I took some pics to share.
Here is my rose bush:
the other one is not yet in bloom - it has the most beautiful pink roses - it has grown up against Brooke's window - which i just love the fact that you can open her blinds in the summer and have the prettiest soft pink roses right there! Also, it will be nice when she gets older - no way she is sneaking out that window!
Here is my tempt at being "artsy!"
One more:
We have another storm coming this afternoon and I don't want to see any more damage ( i will have to tell you about our adjuster experience later). So anyway, I decided to cut myself a bouquet and take them to work - afterall, I deserve it! Here it is:
Time to get back to work - still have lots to do.
