For those of you who might be confused about my daughter and all of this adoption stuff I thought I had better clarify. 5 years ago we were surprised to learn that my husband had a biological child living in another state. It was a big surprise but has turned into an answered prayer with a little twist. Brooke divides her time between here and her 2 other mothers who live in OKC. She is such a tremendous joy to us - I couldn't imagine my life without her. Last weekend we finally told her about the adoption and although she really doesn't understand she seemed excited. I know she will make the best big sis ever! This new baby will complete our family - finally!
That being said, expect to see more Brooke posts! I will never forget the time we had taken her to Red Lobster - her fave restaurant - and the waitress told her she was cute. She looked up with her big blue eyes and said, "yeah, and I am funny too!"
