March of Dimes

Last night was the big Signature Chefs Auction for March of Dimes. I feel like I have been working on it forever! We had a couple of really unfortunate situations along the way from the first OKC NBA game to staff changes to chef's canceling. Last night was no exception - large hail, tornadoes and heavy rain, thunder and lightning. Oh and I forgot to mention our mission family who just happens to be my sister! My beautiful sister has been in the hospital since MOnday with Meningitis! She is finally doing better but we are still waiting on some test results. Hopefully she will be released today - i know she misses her kids terribly! Speaking of her kids, Lillie was the star of the show. Unfortunately, there was trouble with the audio so you could just barely hear it. Donations were slow to pour in as well. Final numbers will be announced today.
On a brighter note, the food was awesome PLUS some really good wine and best of all, great company! At the last minute we invited our good friends rob and leah - they were fortunate enough to find a babysitter quickly and join us! With 4 kids between us, it has been a long, long time since we got dressed up and went out with them - we took plenty of pics!
