Brooke's girl scout troop went and took a karate class last night. She LOVED it! She learned all kinds of self-defense moves! she even demonstrated them on her dad when he got home. Unfortunately, he had to readjust his grip several times because apparently,they only taught them to defend themselves if they were grabbed in a very specific way! The good news is for just $60/mo plus $50 for a uniform, they will learn a couple other ways to defend herself against to quote my nephew, "online creditors" and other vermin. We think she just needs to ask Santa for a cell phone so she can just call for help!
Atleast it was a good night out with friends for her - Kate and I stayed in and watched a Christmas movie while Jay worked late!
