When did life get so hectic?

Remember when life used to be so simple? I think because i am back living in my "hometown" it is hard not to think about when life was simpler! I even drove through the campus of my university the other day - it happens to be right across from my new office. It must have been "hooker education day" because the way those girls were dressed was embarassing! AND it was freezing! When I was in college, we all wore sweats - what happened to that? Anyway, I guess I am feeling a bit nostalgic which is apparently code for OLD! I realized that same day that this year would be my 20 yr high school reunion. How is that possible - I am only 20! Well I feel 20 - somedays. Other days, I feel much older!

So things have been crazy as we are sill trying to get into a routine. We are trying a new church and some of their life classes. They have them for the whole family. Jay and I didn't like ours - we felt a bit patronized by the "teacher" who might have mentioned one or 12 times her masters of divinity from Harvard. She was single too - hsn't she heard of the "H' factor. Oh well, maybe she is married to her job. Brooke went to what was supposed to be "yoga for Jesus" ok that's what we called it but they ended up watching Veggie Tales in a kiddie movie theatre. Weird. Kate did great! Her "teachers" were AMAZED at her vocabulary - they think she is a genius. I can't help but agree. Maybe we will go back.
TOnight Brooke had therapy and is starting "the coping cat." She is very excited - we are hoping it will help her deal with a lot of guilt issues she has with her bio mom. Might be good for all of us. Kate and I stayed home and had a playdate just the 2 of us! It was great - just what we needed!

Oh and for those who are wondering - my job is going great! I absolutely love it! It might just be the perfect fit!
