We were are getting so close to be moved into our new house. Seems kinda silly to say since we have been sleeping here for 3 days. Jay and I are still sleeping in the playroom floor. Our room has some issues, mostly that it is filled with way too much stuff (namely jay's dirty clothes and dry clean items but whose counting?)
We had better hurry. It is Wednesday morning and we are having Thanksgiving here tomorrow. Luckily, my sister will understand and probably even say " wow - look at all you have done!" (hint to sarah) I thought I would post some pics in stages ut first I wanted to share some new Kate pics and some of Brooke and Kate eating their first meal in the new house. Haven't managed to have a family dinner yet but at the moment, the dining room table is covered in decor stuff and the bottoms are off all the chairs waiting to be recovered. Can you have a Bring your own chair thanksgiving dinner? How about a reupholstery party?
I do have to tell you about the armoire pictured. I think i mentioned before that OKC has a "free garage sale day" one a month. Technically it is called Big Trash day but jay and i call it free garage sale day because basically people haul to the curb the stuff they want to get rid of and don't want to waste their tme and energy in a garage sale. We found this piece in my dad's neighborhood. We just added a mirror to cover a small flaw in the back and then finished with a faux paint technique. All in all, I think we invested about $15.00 Not bad, huh?
