Happy Birthday to me!

I am not actually celebrating. Ok, kind of celebrating. Jay is working and I have fed two kids, given baths and done laundry - woohoo! Happy Birthday to me! We are going to have a famiy fun day followed by an event with our adoption agency. It really should be a very fun day. Plus -we get to see the house today! Our NEW HOUSE! WooHoo! Yay for space!!!! Hopefully we can start moving in soon! Really soon.

Last night Kate's school had a Halloween carnival. I love her new school and last night was so much fun. Kate and Brooke both wore their costumes and were so adorable! Brooke is Shar Pei (i have to figure out how to spell her name) from High School Musical. However, she looked much more eerily like Paris Hilton. Hmmmmmmm. Oh well! Kate was the show stealer in her little stinker costume! I thought my dad was going to pee his pants when he saw her - he laughed so hard and then took her around to the neighbors.

I baked a cake for the cake walk at the carnival. My sister gave me a hard time for not just buying something but that is not how this mom rolls. Oh no! I viewed it as a competition. Everyone knows a mother's value is based on baked goods, right? hehehe anyway, my cake totally won! The first person to win the cake walk picked from tables of goodies - homemade and store bought. Mine was the first to go! Yay me! Check out the pic. It is the jack-o-lantern cake.

Speaking of cakes, my sweet father baked me a white chocolate and raspberry cake. It was so gourmet and very yummy! The filling was amazing. Jay is going to have some mighty big shoes to fill when it comes to being a dad to my girls!

I should have some more pics tomorrow. We ae doing a hay ride tonight. I told brooke about it and she has no idea what i am talking about! I think she will love it!
