Date night and a little brag

Last night was a big part of why we moved home. Jay and i went out on a date! Nanna stayed with Kate while brooke had a visit from her bio mom. For the first time, jay an i were both able to relax. We wanted to do a little shopping for the new house so we went to Tueday Morning and Pottery Barn - couldn't find a lot so we added Baby Gap and Gymboree to the list. Kate got this adorable new winter coat and hat! It was such a bargain at $11.99!! WooHoo! Then we went to dinner at Bellini's - we ordered appetizers, split a bottle of our favorite wine, Ravenswood Zinfandel and had a great dinner. We were right on the water, under the twinkle lights and had that part of the patio all to ourseves. Sorry no pics, it was too romantic to share. Well, it could have been, the wine made me sleepy, i think i fell asleep before we got home! Thanks nanna for taking care of baby kate!

So here is the brag - kate is the cutest baby ever and now possible the smartest. She is so good at answering yes or no - she definitely know what she wants. And as for Brooke, she has been working on the splits at gymnastics. FInally i took matters into my own hands and showed her how. Yep, this 37 ( of next saturday) year old mama of 2 can still do the splits! Now brooke can too! She got the star athelete award at her gym on Thursday - yay Brooke!!!!
