Well to tell you the truth it was kind of a quiet weekend. Truly, just what I needed. I did manage to hurt my back a little on Saturday. It is definitely time to move Kate out of the carrier. Even though she still has several pounds and several inches before she officially outgrows it, I am not carrying it around anymore. I think that is how I hurt my back. Jay rubbing it helped plus a big dose of Nyquil. I am telling you, Nyquil fixes everything.
Instead of taking it easy today, we worked outside all day. We had all these grand plans but didn't quite them all accomplished. We did get the front flower beds cleaned out and ready for annuals plus Jay got to mow. We also planted some Hostas. I have been trying to figure out what I needed in the flower bed up by my front porch. This morning, I finally figured it out - Hostas. It didn't take a lot but I love them! WooHoo for me!
Kate loved being outside. We had her sitting in her pack-n-play and she had a great time. her new favorite thing is patty-cake. Loves it! I bought her this bear that claps his hands and sings it. She hasn't figured out how to press the button yet but as soon as she starts clapping, I do it for her. No judgement please - it works for us. So pattycake has turned into - YEAH!! KATE!! followed by thunderous applause. She is going to be a star someday (no matter what she does.) Speaking of Miss Kate being a star, I have given myself a new name. The Mamarazzi. Like paparazzi only it's me and I only take pics of Kate and people who happen to be with Kate. I was the same way with Brooke. I have so many pics, I think it is starting to slow down my hard drive but can you imagine if we were still living in a world where film cameras still exist? God Bless Digital!
So that is about it. We have big Easter plans. It is our annual Easter party at church on Saturday. Debbie and Carter are going with us and then we are hosting Easter dinner on Sunday. It will be the 4 of us plus my mom and her fiance' (oh for those who don't know, my mom is getting married in June) and Mike, Debbie and Carter. I am kind of nervous about all the people but think it will turn out just fine. Like last year.
What do you think of our Easter Bunny? Pretty cute, huh? Not the best pic but it was at the end of the day and we were all pretty tired. Recognize the outfit Aunt Bootise and Uncle Mouse??? Thanks!
