Remember me??

Sorry I have been gone so long. We have been without home internet service for a week now. Well, today I decided I had been disconnected long enough - an hour long phone call with SBC tech support and we are now back online - woohoo!

So today is Halloween. We have missed so much. Like I turned 36 last Friday - crazy, crazy. I don't feel 36. Baby Kate turned 2 months old the same day - she says she barely feels older than 1 month and 3 weeks! We spent our birthdays in her peds office getting her first shots - Ooooowwweeeee! Kate screamed like never before. As soon as she screamed - I started crying. As soon as the nurse let me, I scooped her up and held her. She settled down immediately. She was fussy and just not herself for 2 days after - I felt so bad for her. Oh, here is what you probably want to know. She is now 10lns 8oz and 21 3/4 inches still small but growing. Her doctor remarked how strong she was - I reminded him that not only is she strong, she is also extremely intelligent and quite beautiful. He quickly agreed and then told me how much he enjoys our little conversations. I think I am getting a little crush on Dr. N.

Saturday we had planned on going to the zoo with Mike and Debbie and Carter but the lines was crazy long - it stretched for miles. Brooke thought it would be ok if we just went door to door and apologized for being early but ask for candy anyway. Hmmmm. no. We ended up at the Trunk or Treat at our church. Pretty fun.

Tonight I picked up Kate just before 5:00 and took her up to my work to show her off a bit - she was such a good baby. Her daycare workers (one of whom we call Mrs. Doubtfire because she is very British) got her a bag of candy, a stack of books wrapped in ribbon and 2 popcorn balls for Halloween - I thought that was just too too sweet! When we got home, I changed Kate into her costume and she indulged me while I took a few pics of her in her baby elephant costume. I didn't get any GREAT pics but this is my favorite.
