I feel especially prepared in the blanket department. We were having a contest on who could guess how many blankets I received as gifts. The correct answer.....22! I am not sure how many people were there, I know 14 had RSVP''d which means most people brought 1 1/2 blankets each! Ok, enough about that - here are some pics of the festivities.
Oh BTW, I am still working on the thank you cards - don't give up on me yet!! But a special thanks goes out to Jennifer (who also designed the best invites ever and made me a CD of all the pics!), Kay (who neatly folded each and every piece of tissue paper and saved all the name badges for my scrapping and Jaci (who had a 6:15 am flight Friday followed by a panel interview in an airport in Memphis for a job she really really wanted - and got. Her flight got back in Wichita at 4:45 and the party was at 6pm AT HER HOUSE!) Yes, I do have the best friends!!!! I am so darn lucky!!
Here is a pic of me just before leaving for the shower. I think it is important to mention it was like 105 degrees with 1000% humidity!
some of the girls -
Here is a pic of Brooke with her new sunglasses:
Here is the cake -
Jay came and picked us all up so he got to sneak into a pic - yeah!!
Sorry there aren't any more updates. A friend put it pretty well today, I thought. She said, it hasn't even been a week since they called and checked in. That is not long enough to be worried! So that being said, she was dilated to a 2 about a week and a half ago. I think it is time to have that baby! We are ready! Although, in His wisdom, I am guessing God has a plan. Maybe He is waiting for it to get under 100 degrees so she can actually use some of these blankets! Just a thought.
