What dreams may come

So you know how pregnant women are kinda known for having weird dreams? I know the only time I ever even dreamed I was pg, I actually was. Well, apparently adopting moms-to-be have strange dreams also. Take last night for instance, I had a dream that we got a call from our agency that they had a "drop-in," which is not uncommon, and they had a baby for us. Of course, we had no notice, it was all very fast. They said come get to OK and pick up your baby. Well we got there and there were 4 babies - our social worker thought it would be fun if we could "guess" which one was ours. Hmmm. So I looked at the babies - there was one that had kinda weird ears (i have no idea where that came from) and one with really long hair (like Jennifer Anniston hair) and one normal, healthy looking newborn. I chose the normal one and guess what - I was right. Too weird. The only thing I remember is that it was a girl and she was half hispanic.

But the dreamin didn't stop there.

In my next dream, J & I had been matched with a birth mom. Even though, this is not in our plan, we got really close to her, well I did. She and J didn't hit it off too much. For some reason, I had agreed to take a trip with her. We were driving across country and had stopped at a truck stop for gas and snacks. She was barefoot and eating like the grossest truck stop food you could ever imagine. People kept coming up to us because guess why???? Yep, our birth mom was Britney Spears. I kept telling people to leave her alone and that she wasn't Britney. Too funny! Oh and then I made a comment about how cute she was pregnant and she got all mad! She said she didn't want people to know - I reminded her about her BIG interview on national TV with Matt Lauer. She said, she didn't think anyone saw that. Hmmmmmmmm.
Maybe I should seek professional help! :)

On the homefront, J & I got Brooke's room all cleaned out - it was so sad. First because she isn't here and I hate getting rid of so much her stuff - even though she doesn't play with it or has outgrown it. Second, I am sad because my little girl is growing up! :( The room is cleaned out and now we are ready to start painting!! I can't wait - I think it is going to be really, really pretty. J & i went and got stuff yesterday to make some homemade art projects ala trading spaces. Guess we will see............!
